On Friday neighbor Bob Sinnott, the founder of the Lakewood, Dallas Facebook page, posted this news on Facebook:
For background, the former owner of Ships Lounge Charlie Hunt, also known as Charlie Red, decided to retire during the summer of 2015. Then in December Jason Boso, the owner of Truck Yard on Lowest Greenville, announced he was going to reopen it, but then he wasn’t able to get the late-night permit he needed in order to keep the place open past midnight.
A few weeks ago Boso told us he didn’t want to operate the location without the late-night permit, and he mentioned that another operator was eyeing the Lowest Greenville dive bar.
After seeing Sinnott’s claim on Facebook we emailed Nora Restaurant to seek confirmation. They said: “We are not quite ready to comment on anything just yet. We will definitely reach out to you when we are ready.”
Maybe I’m reading between the lines too much, but it sounds to me like something is in the works.
