A Fort Worth drilling company extracted soil from the location for testing by an engineering firm. The information is public because it is considered useful to geologists as it analyzes the underground materials foot by foot. The reports are used to make construction recommendations.

After years of attempts by the city to get Costco to move into Dallas proper with a $3- million economic development grant, the retail behemoth built its first Dallas store near Coit and Central Expressway last year.

Sam’s Club operated the Park Lane location from 1992-2011 until the new Sam’s opened up at Northwest Highway and Skillman. The area has seen an injection of new development, with the High Point Crossing development underway at the old Steakley Chevrolet dealership.
