Last night I bought two organic cotton bath mats at West Elm, one 20×30 inches and one 24 inches round, for $14 plus tax — for both. The original price was $19 each. This was just one of the good deals at the Mockingbird Station retailer, which is having a big sale.
West Elm is owned by Williams-Sonoma, Inc., which also owns all of the Pottery Barn stores and, of course, Williams-Sonoma. It’s merchandise has a more modern, contemporary flair — sleek and simple. One of the most interesting pieces of furniture I looked at last night was the tillary modular seating (pictured), which had weighted and movable back support pillows. I’m not sure how I feel about a backless couch, but the functionality of the concept grew on me.
