Two kids, ages 6 and 7, were taken to Children’s Medical Center Tuesday after they nearly drowned in a city pool at Samuell-Grand Recreation Center. The children were there, along with 55 others, as part of a field trip with St. Luke United Methodist Church.
NBCDFW reports that the kids are in stable condition. Several lifeguards were on duty, and the church had one adult for every 10 children at the pool.
The pool at Samuell-Grand is open 1-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays. It is expected to be open again by Saturday.
