Alex Dickerson, 25
A 25-year-old man is in custody for the murder of Patrick Wheeler, 27, who was shot multiple times early on the morning of April 27 at 2777 N. Buckner Blvd.
According to police reports, pictured below, Wheeler and an unidentified witness returned to the apartment they share with another witness, where suspect Alex Dickerson was hanging out with his girlfriend. Wheeler and the witnesses went into a bedroom when Dickerson approached, gun in hand, and fired several shots. He then demanded keys to one of the victims, and fled the scene in a stolen car.
Wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police working with the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force were able to use that information to track Dickerson to the 3000 block of Bicker, where he was arrested without incident. He was transported to Dallas County Jail and held on a $200,000 bond.
