The outdoor movies will kick off March 4 and run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in a socially distanced setting at Samuell-Grand Amphitheater, 1500 Tenison Parkway.

Each night will follow a different theme. Thursdays will feature musicals and films based on literature, Fridays will feature throwbacks and Saturdays will be reserved for family favorites.

Dogs will be welcomed for a “Bark at the Park” night March 13 during the showing of Annie. The screening of West Side Story will also include a pre-show community conversation about race and representation.

“When we launched Movies in the Park last fall, we were delighted to have successfully found a way to remain present in the communities we serve,” Raphael Parry, executive and artistic director of Shakespeare Dallas, said in a statement. “Not only are we reprising movies for the spring, we are committed to offering even more socially distanced outdoor programming for our audiences this summer.”

Guests can pack a picnic, and those 21 and older can bring beer and wine.

Gates will open at 7 p.m. with movies starting at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for ages 11 and up. Children 10 and under are free. Purchase tickets here.
