Located across the highway from SMU and across the street from Mockingbird Station, the 80,000-square-foot shopping center is home to tenants Uptown Cheapskate, Whole Earth Provision Co., Jason’s Deli, Contemporary Ballet Dallas and more.
Corsair Property Company, based in Dallas, officially sold the property to the new owners July 25.
It’s now owned by Curbline Properties, an Ohio-based investment trust with properties along the West Coast and in the South, Southwest, Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Disney Investment Group brokered the sale, with DIG’s David Disney and Adam Crockett representing Corsair and procuring Curbline, a press release said.
Mockingbird Lane sees around 41,000 vehicles per day, making the plaza a prime location for commercial real estate in Dallas, Curbline told WFAA. Mockingbird also marks the intersection of several booming neighborhoods such as Park Cities, Lakewood and Lower Greenville.
Mockingbird Central Plaza is located at 5400 E. Mockingbird Lane.
