We can’t all be math people. So for the youngsters who aren’t, there are places like Mathnasium, which is an international math tutoring center that’s full of math people who can help.
For East Dallas parents with little ones who struggle in math, Mathnasium recently opened a location in our neighborhood, at Gaston-Garland-Grand across from the construction on Arboretum Village. It’s headed up by Danny Brooks, and they’re now enrolling.
Mathnasium tutors in math only, and they claim on their website that they can “significantly increase your child’s math skills, understanding of math concepts, and overall school performance, while building confidence and forging a positive attitude toward the subject.”
They do this by determining exactly what your child does or doesn’t understand about math. Then they personalize a learning program. You can read more about the Mathnasium method here.
There are already several Mathnasium locations in the Dallas area, including locations in Lake Highlands, University Park, and North Dallas, but this is the first location in East Dallas.
