A woman training for the MetroPCS White Rock Marathon was attacked about 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Skillman Street near The Village.
I saw the story first on Channel 4 news. The woman, who asked not to be identified, says a man grabbed her off of Skillman and dragged her into an alley. She fought him until he gave up and fled. After the attack, the woman realized she had been slashed with a knife.
The attack happened after dark on a busy street, where lots of runners train. Police told Channel 4 there have been no similar attacks reported in the area.
