A 57-year-old man was shot outside a home on Forest Hills Boulevard on March 8.

David Allegro was near the garage of a house on the 8100 block of Forest Hills Boulevard around 10 a.m. March 8 when he was shot.

Dallas Fire-Rescue took Allegro to a hospital, where he was placed on life support, the Dallas Police Department reported. Allegro died of his injuries March 10.

During their investigation, the police found that 24-year-old Charles Albert Edgette was the shooter.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force took over the apprehension process, and Edgette is now in custody.

Edgette was charged with murder, and a magistrate will set his bond.
