A man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound was taken to the hospital Monday morning, a spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department said.

Police responded to the call in the 3200 block of Jacotte Circle in Lakewood around 10 a.m. Monday.

According to the police, the adult man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
