Little Forest Hills neighbors Christa and Ketric Sanford will join Jada Pinkett Smith at the New Friends New Life annual luncheon to fight human trafficking in Texas.
The Sanfords will co-chair the luncheon, which will begin at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 11 at the Omni Dallas Hotel, and Smith will be the keynote speaker.
The couple has volunteered at the nonprofit since 2011, with Christa serving on the board of directors and Ketric serving on the men’s advocacy group.
New Friends New Life is a Dallas-based nonprofit that started in 1998 and aids more than 1,200 formerly trafficked women, teens and children each year. It helps victims overcome abuse, addiction and poverty by providing access to education, job training, interim financial assistance and mental health and spiritual support.
