Briones will follow Roxanne Rodriguez-Cheek, who has moved on to be the principal at Woodrow Wilson High School after a leading Lipscomb for four years. In a letter to the “Lipscomb family,” Briones writes, “I am humbled to have the opportunity to continue leading the great work being done here… I want to continue the upward momentum regarding student achievement and build upon the systems and foundation established. I’m committed to maintaining a positive culture and climate for students, staff, parents and the community.”

Executive Director of the Woodrow feeder pattern Joe Miniscalco, who has been writing many of these principal announcements this summer, highlighted Briones in a letter to the community: “She has been an integral part of developing the team and the plan collectively with you. She has proven over the years that she is committed to serving the community of Lipscomb Elementary and Dallas ISD.”
