The Lindsley Park playground will be closed for three months this summer while the Park and Recreation Department makes $120,000 worth of improvements, according to the Hollywood Santa Monica Neighborhood Association.
The upgrades include replacing the existing playground with new all-abilities equipment, sidewalk repairs and permanent restrooms. LED fixtures that minimize light pollution will be added to the pavilion and lighting around the perimeter and interior.
Construction work was supposed to start in mid-April and conclude in mid-July, but the schedule was delayed because of backordered playground equipment.
