A long life expectancy is just one of the perks of living in Lakewood.
In January, the Advocate reported that Lakewood residents in ZIP code 75214 have the highest life expectancy in Dallas at nearly 84 years, according to research from the National Center for Health Statistics and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
A new interact map from the Episcopal Health Foundation breaks down the neighborhood into even smaller portions to show how segregation, access to healthcare, public transportation, healthy food, affordable housing and good jobs all impact life expectancy.
In East Dallas, the ages range from 72.4 years to 83.8 years.
