On Saturday three girls set up shop in Tokalon ParkĀ and raised $605 for the Assist the Officer Foundation, which provides financial assistance to the families of fallen officers and officers who have been seriously injured or fallen ill.

After closing up in the afternoon the girls and their families took the $605Ā and a card of support signed by thirsty lemonade stand patronsĀ to Dallas Police headquarters.Ā The girls are members of theĀ Blacker, Armentrout and McEachern families.

Another Saturday morning lemonade stand was set up on Ellsworth. Two middle school friends ā€” Campbell and Olivia ā€” sold cookies and lemonadeĀ with the proceeds going to benefit the police.

Mark Clayton, District 9 City Council representative,Ā supported both stands on Facebook, saying, “Nothing feels better on a hot day than supporting the Dallas Police Department with cookies and lemonade. Go now.”

These lemonade stands are one of many ways East Dallas neighbors have shown support for the Dallas PoliceĀ since the attack.
