ELIJAH WARTMAN’s newborn brother is keeping Mom and Dad super busy, especially at bedtime. So, Elijah’s adopted bro, a chocolate lab named ROCK, happily fills in as the 4-year-old’s story time pal. The Wartman family adopted Rock from Oak Hill Animal Rescue about a year ago, and they have two other adopted labs who, just like the rest of the family, love having the sweet-natured canine in their East Dallas home. Adoption is a challenge, says DANA WARTMAN, who sent in the photo, “but those challenges will never overshadow the love and companionship that Rock has given to our family.”
