The 42nd annual Lakewood Home Festival will feature seven homes in the neighborhood whose styles range from mid-century to coastal modern farmhouse, and will take place Nov. 9-11.
This year’s theme is “I (heart) Lakewood” and will highlight the neighborhood’s creek views, mature trees and one home with a view of White Rock Lake.
Three Lakewood Boulevard homes designed by renown architect Charles Dilbeck, known as the Dilbeck triplets, will be on display. Brazilian decor, classic contemporary and french tudor styles will also be featured on the tour.
The festival will include an auction party at the Hilton Anatole on Friday night, Nov. 9. Themed “Take a Bite Out of the Big Apple,” it will include music, drinks, silent and live auction. Auction Party tickets are $150.
The festival will continue on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 10-11, with tours of the homes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will conclude with a candlelight tour of the homes on Saturday night from 6-9 p.m. Home Tour tickets are $20 and candlelight tour tickets are $30.
The Lakewood Home Festival is hosted by the Lakewood Elementary Early Childhood PTA and raises money for neighborhood schools Lakewood Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School and Woodrow Wilson High School. The funds go toward technology, materials and enrichment programs. Running since 1976, the festival has raised millions of dollars for schools over the years, including $200,000 last year alone.
