Rayo, 25, was booked into the Dallas County, where he remained Monday evening in lieu of $25,000 bond. He did not appear in the jail’s inmate search Tuesday morning.

In a letter to parents, principal Brittany Thompson said a teacher was placed on administrative leave because of a personal matter she was unable to discuss.

“We understand this type of change may cause some concern for students and parents,” she said. “However, we want to assure you our commitment remains to ensure all students receive quality instruction.”

Parents with questions were directed to the school’s main office number, 972-749-7300.

Rayo started at the school in fall 2020, according to the Lakewood Stallion Staff Weekly News.

Dallas ISD and the Dallas Police Department are asking those with additional information about Rayo to call police at 214-275-1300.
