As you all know (if you don’t, read this) the Lakewood Shopping Center tree lighting celebration is this Friday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., but the organizers are still lacking a little funding for the extravaganza.

We got this note from Elizabeth Mast, the lady at the helm of this holiday tradition:

Thanks to the efforts of Sheffie Kadane, we have some dependable electricity this year, the cost of getting the tree lit was very expensive. Thanks to the many who have donated; however, we are still in need of some financial help to pay for two more police officers. Our permit requires that we have 4 paid officers. If you are interested in donating, every bit helps. The total is $280 for the additional two officers.
