It kicks off with a performance by Cuban singer Idania on Tuesday.

The show is the opening of the Lakefront Live! concert series, which will feature free performances at the indoor-outdoor venue on the shore of White Rock Lake.

Idania grew up in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and moved to Dallas in 2016. She sings popular songs by Celia Cruz, Nina Simone and Barbra Streisand, as well as Cuban jazz.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14.

On Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m., neighbor, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jess Garland will be performing. Her music involves a combination of harp and guitar loops.

In an Instagram post, Garland dedicated the concert to her father, who is “guiding me along my path.”

Carolyn Lee Jones & The Satin Dolls Band will be performing Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

All shows will be held at 521 E. Lawther Dr.
