We’re having a lively discussion on our Lake Highlands blog about that subject, courtesy of Carol Toler. She wrote about a dinner she had at Mi Cocina, describing it as too full of "screaming toddlers lugging their coloring books and their superhero figurines."
This is something we’ve all run across, especially since more and more younger families are choosing this neighborhood instead of the suburbs. As one commenter noted: "Oh wow….I am so glad to see someone finally touch this subject."
What’s interesting about the comments is that they include some of what you’d expect, from "Go have dinner at an old folk’s home" to "Parents don’t know how to discipline their kids." But there are also some incisive, less expected thoughts.
It’s well worth reading and discussing.
