After parting ways with the Dallas Observer, East Dallas neighbor Jim Schutze is returning to journalism as a columnist for D Magazine.
Subscribers can see his first column in the July issue. He’ll contribute a monthly column to the magazine and a web story about once a week on FrontBurner, D Magazine reported.
He will primarily cover education while keeping an eye on the City of Dallas.
Schutze was laid off — or as he says, fired — from the Dallas Observer in mid-May after working at the publication for 22 years.
