A J.L. Long Middle School student has tested positive for the coronavirus. The Dallas County Health Department confirmed.
The student was in school on Friday, March 13 for the first two periods of school. The student was asymptomatic prior to Friday. The student is doing well and remains at home.
Long Middle School has made calls to the families, and the campus was deep cleaned Monday.
There are no details about how the student contracted the disease. DISD schools will remain closed indefinitely in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
