An East Dallas hospital ranked second best in the metroplex and fourth in the state in an annual report ranking the top medical facilities in the country.
Baylor University Medical Center at 3500 Gaston Ave. came in second behind UT Southwestern Medical Center, according to the rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.
The report evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers on patient care, patient safety, outcomes, nursing, advanced technology and reputation. Overall, state and local rankings were released.
In addition to regional and statewide acclaim, Baylor University Medical Center was recognized nationally for its specialties in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, as well as gynecology.
