Here’s something to go and do Saturday. The Homegrown Music and Art Festival is Saturday in the super-cool Main Street Garden Park downtown starting at 11:15 a.m. The last band, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, goes on at 9 p.m. All 15 bands are local, so you know there are East Dallas peeps performing.
Dem Southernfolkz goes on at 12:50 p.m. Check out their video for “The Message”, which was shot in Deep Ellum and the old House of Dang Store in East Dallas.
Admission is free for kids 10 and younger and $10 otherwise.
