The opening comes about 10 days after the eatery opened for curbside pickup Aug. 17 after the TABC indicated it would be approved for a limited reopening.

The restaurant and bar at the Hillside Village shopping center opens at 5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and serves one of the best bologna sandwiches in Dallas with mortadella smoked over Texas pecan with a secret sauce, mayonnaise, cheese and shredded lettuce on Texas toast. It’s topped with dill potato chips.

Brooks and Bradley Anderson, who own Hillside Tavern, also reopened Rapscallion on Greenville Avenue for curbside and patio service Aug. 17.

Lounge Here on Garland Road is also planning to reopen at 25 percent capacity Sept. 17. Customers must make a reservation for dining room seating only. Sitting at the bar will not be allowed.

Among wearing masks and extra cleaning, Lounge Here will limit hours from4 p.m. to midnight Thursday-Saturday.
