East Dallas restaurant owners hope to open new tavern in Lakewood by February's end

The minds behind two East Dallas restaurants are set to open another eatery, Hillside Tavern, in our neighborhood at the end of February.

Brooks Anderson, Bradley Anderson and Nathan Tate told Eater in April 2018 that construction was underway at the location inside the Hillside Village Shopping Center at 6465 E. Mockingbird Lane.

The trio, who also own Veritas Wine Room and Rapscallion, posted pictures on Instagram that provide a peek into the new restaurant. The photos show a modern design with warm wood panels and exposed red brick.
