Hari Mari, a Dallas-based sandal retailer known for its comfortable sandals, announced its collaboration with Zack Martin, a nine-time NFL pro bowler and Dallas Cowboys’ offensive guard. The collaboration will promote its new Grande sandal line, the brand’s first flip-flop made with an extra-wide footbed and larger-volumed straps to accommodate bigger feet.
The Hari Mari and Martin partnership comes on the heels of increased customer calls and wholesale requests for larger flip-flops over the past several years, according to founder Jeremy Stewart.
“’[Zack Martin is] an avid flip flop wearer, who, like many of our customers, often struggles to find sandals that fit his feet. Our thinking was pretty simple, if our Grande flip-flop can comfortably accommodate Zack Martin, I think we’ve solved a similar challenge for many of our bigger-footed friends,” Stewart said.
Martin, a size 14 feet, said “It’s not always easy for guys of my size to find comfortable footwear that fits, especially flip-flops.”
The Grande will come in two colors: tan and charcoal, the product boasts a thicker and soft squeeze midsoles for added support.
The Grande flip-flop includes the brand’s patented MemoryFoamToe which reduces toe irritation and abrasion. Grandes are made with soft Nubuck leather, thicker footbeds, memory foam-lined straps, and rubber outsoles for better grip on slippery surfaces. Hari Mari’s Grande retails for $85 on Hari Mari’s website.
