Halloween is just around the corner. We’ve gathered a list of family-friendly Halloween activities to partake in around the neighborhood, starting tomorrow Oct. 26.

Trunk/Trick-or Treats and pumpkin patches 

Pumpkins in the Park – Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Tietze Park pavilion. Attendees will have access to clean pumpkins to carve and can participate in a chili cook-off as well as a cookie bake-off.

Lowest Greenville Trick-or-Treat – Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Belmont Avenue to Ross Avenue. The locations marked with orange balloons along the street will be offering candy for children of all ages.

Exall Park Trunk-or-Treat – Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Council District 14 team members will be in attendance.

St. John’s Episcopal Church- Thursday, Oct. 31 starting at 4:30 p.m. at the church. The trick-or-treat alternative will be accepting candy donations at the Parish Hall up until the event.

Other experiences

Hexter Howl – Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hexter Elementary. The event will have carnival games, a costume contest, crafts and food. All proceeds benefit the school.

Tell Spooky Stories – Saturday, Oct. 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Deep Ellum Community Center. S’mores and hot chocolate will be provided as attendees share ghost stories and tales around an electric campfire. All ages are welcome.

Down To Play – Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Down To Play indoor playground from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Halloween Bash will feature a tattoo stand, open play, trick-or-treat opportunities, crafts and a costume contest. Tickets can be purchased at this link.

Ghoulish Goods Market – Oct. 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Greenville Avenue and Oram Street. The Market will feature handmade, homemade and locally sourced goods. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes. Face painting, permanent jewelry and a pet treat truck will be available.

Harry Potter Diagon Alley Experience – Oct. 31, Nov. 1 and 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Bryan Parkway and Beacon Street. The free Harry Potter themed experience has a full walk-through display of Diagon Alley and Hogwarts.

There will also be an opportunity for attendees to participate in their non-perishable food donation drive benefiting Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. The Diagon Alley Experience Facebook and Instagram will be posting a list of suggested food items attendees can drop off when they visit.
