I just got word that Hacienda on Henderson, which is taking over the old Cuquita’s spot, is slated to open Friday. Owners Patrick Tetrick, Chris Faulkner and Miles Zuniga have renovated the building, which was built as a house in 1943. 

The executive chef is Mike Dimas, who has been special events chef at the Dallas Museum of Art and executive chef at Oro, the restaurant at the Emily Morgan Hotel in San Antonio. Part of his menu includes tequilas infused with strawberries and pineapples, and habanero and jalapeno peppers. They’ll also have live music and $5 margaritas.
