Movember is a month-long celebration of all things facial hair. More accurately, it is a month-long fundraiser supporting prostate and testicular cancer initiatives, and an excuse to grow a big honkin’ mustache.
Goodfriend and Lakewood Brewing Co. have teamed up to offer $5 brewery tours for anyone sporting a mustache on Saturdays in November. The tours normally cost $10, and the brewery is donating the half-price admission to Movember. At the end of the tour, everyone with a mustache gets a stamp good for a free pint of Lakewood beer at Goodfriend. The tours are at 3 p.m. Nov. 17 and 24 at 2302 Executive Drive in Garland.
The famously hirsute owners of Goodfriend, Matt Tobin and Josh Yingling, have shaved their beards, and most of the restaurant’s staff shaved as well. It’s all to raise awareness for Movember and make way for their new ‘staches.

The Goodfriend Movember teams is raising money via movember.com, and the restaurant will match the donations, up to $2,500.
