Woodrow Wilson High School’s annual musical, Beauty and the Beast, may be garnering most of the attention of this week, but next week will be a different story: Freshman Grace Choi will be attempting to do something few Woodrow golfers have done in trying to qualify for the state high school golf tournament. The DMN highlights Choi’s quest in a story that calls her a "prodigy" and talks about her development from age 7, when she trailed her father at the driving range. (Choi’s parents own Uptown Cleaners near Skillman and LaVista.) In 2008, Choi won the Dallas Junior Golf Championship, and then she faced a decision about what high school to attend. She wound up choosing Woodrow over several private schools that recruited her, and Woodrow golf coach Tom Crabb is no doubt glad she did.
