The Grape‘s new owners, Lake Highlands residents Brian and Courtney Luscher, have been serving Sunday brunch for two weeks now. Courtney tells me they have a "wonderful a la carte menu" and that they’ve had "great response just in the two weeks they’ve been open." If things continue to go well, they might even add a Saturday brunch.
And, though of course they don’t plan to change much else, there are a few other developments at the venerable Greenville bistro:
1. The Luschers have done some cosmetic updating, including lighting adjustments and new silverware, glassware and china.
2. An expanded by-the-glass wine program.
3. No longer open for lunch, The Grape remains open seven nights a week for dinner.
4. Also expect executive chef Brian Luscher to put his stamp on the menu, though you’ll have to visit to find out what that means.
Finally, look for more fun stuff in the coming months — which could include, Courtney adds, chef’s cooking classes, "cool, fun" wine dinners and maybe even some catering.
