The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the Teacher of the Year Award.

Recipients of the award must be K-12 educators providing outstanding education for students. They must have contributed toward innovative and unique programs that are improving and promoting education.

Six awards will be presented to teachers at public and private elementary, middle and high schools in East Dallas. Recipients must be full-time classroom or laboratory teachers or coaches.

Each recipient will receive a $250 cash prize, and each of their schools will receive $250, too.

Nominations must be must be submitted online by March 31. An awards ceremony is scheduled for April 25 at St. John’s Episcopal School.
