Dallas Police reported that the wreck was not designated as a major traffic accident, meaning there were no major injuries to the driver or anyone else.

The car was facing northbound and ran through the wall of an empty retail space next to a skate and vapor shop as Grand Avenue turns into Garland Road.

The intersection is one of the most dangerous in our neighborhood, and includes a straightaway from Grand to Garland where motorists don’t have to stop in the intersection. Because of a wonky layout that confuses drivers, TxDOT is redesigning the intersection, which you may have heard about. TxDOT has a preferred design, but that hasn’t stopped neighbors and local government officials from trying to change their minds.
