The Friends of the SoPac Trail is participating in North Texas Giving Day. The not-for-profit organization has shared several projects in the works they plan to continue with the support provided by those who donate via this year’s Giving Day.

Irrigation and planting

Irrigation will be added and more trees will be planted along the trail and related seating areas to create more shade.

Signs and paint-overs

Bridge overpasses will have location signs added to them and the group will continue graffiti paint-overs.

Maintenance and neighborhood events

The Pollinator Garden and trees will be fertilized. The Respite Area will be pruned and weeded. Additionally, the group will host their 3rd annual Neighborhood Garden Drop-By.

 

The group currently has an operating budget of less than $100,000 and is made up of both individuals and neighborhood associations. For more information about how to donate through the North Texas Giving Day website, click here.
