The city is marking Older American Month with an event aimed at keeping seniors safe. “Age Out Loud” will cover scams that target seniors, identity theft, elder abuse and other topics relevant to aging citizens.

Set for May 18, doors open at 9 a.m. but the program starts at 10 a.m. and runs till 3 p.m. The day is open to all seniors free of charge. Lunch is included, and there will a raffle for prizes and other vendor giveaways during the event. The event takes place at Dallas County Schools Technology & Training Center, 5151 Samuell Blvd.
