Our neighborhood has seen its fair share of interesting car accidents, and has also seen proliferation of free-standing emergency rooms. It was only a matter of time until the two crossed paths.
Late Tuesday night, a truck was traveling south on Skillman when it crossed the center median, barreled through northbound traffic and slammed into Lakewood ER at the corner of Skillman and Mockingbird, the Dallas Morning News reports.
The driver fled the scene, but the truck, which belongs to the maintenance company DBi Services, damaged at least two vehicles. The Dallas Fire-Rescue’s hazmat team was called in to handle the fluids leaking from the truck.

The truck took out a small tree and this protective post before coming to rest against the wall of the ER.
