Honda will partner with One90 Smoked Meats to feed the public (yes, anyone) for free from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday at the Stone Tables and Pavilion, 553 E. Lawther. It is first come first serve, so start getting in line now.

There’s something universally satisfying about the aroma of smoky brisket curling through a park on a long weekend. Whether it’s tender pulled pork or sausages that snap just right, a good barbecue is as much about the slow craft as it is about the celebration. When the grill’s fired up and the smoke begins to roll, it signals a gathering worth showing up hungry for.

But here’s the thing: perfect barbecue isn’t luck—it’s equal parts patience and precision. The right internal temperature can mean the difference between meat that falls apart with a fork and something that bites back. That’s where a wireless meat thermometer becomes the real MVP—quietly keeping tabs on the heat without you needing to constantly open the lid and lose all that precious smoke.

What truly brings a cookout to life isn’t just the food, but how it’s made. It’s about giving the meat the respect it deserves—letting it rest, monitoring the temp, and slicing only when it’s ready. This weekend, as smoke rises and families gather, the real magic is happening over the coals, one perfectly cooked cut at a time.
