Educators came together during the 2016 Teacher of the Year Awards.

It was a special day for not one but four East Dallas-area teachers during the 2016 Teacher of the Year Awards.

Each teacher, nominated by the community, was selected for their effort in helping their students not just do well but succeed in school. The award recipients were honored by the the Great East Dallas Chamber of Commerce at a luncheon on Tuesday at Lakehill Preparatory’s Alice and Erle Nye Family Environmental Science Center. 

Among the six Teacher of the Year winners for 2016 was Kent Benson, Robert E. Lee Elementary, Amy Duke, Bishop Lynch High, Amy Delaney, Dallas Academy, and Lakehill Preparatory‘s Casey Pike.
