Five-star Dallas chef Randall Warder is opening Clark Food and Wine Co., which will feature American tapas, flatbreads, artisan sandwiches and smoked meats, along with an array of wines, Texas craft beer and liquor.

Like many others, Warder hopes to become a “neighborhood restaurant.” The dining area is set up to accommodate groups, although couples and individuals are certainly welcome. “The concept is it’s a European-style experience, but with all American food,” Warder says. “It’s all share items.” (View the menu.)

This week, Warder and his team were busy putting the final touches on the building and preparing the staff for opening day. The artwork was done by a neighborhood artist, Melissa Ellis.

Now that Clark Food and Wine Co. is complete, Warder plans to start construction on his second project right next door. He plans to open a c’viche and tequila bar sometime after Thanksgiving. “The idea is fast-casual style service,” he explains. “It’s tiny. There’s only like 32 seats inside, but it’ll be bright colors and open.”
