You’ll have to wait one more week to get fresh produce from the farmers market.

Good Local Markets announced today that the Lakewood Village Farmers Market, which was supposed to open Sunday, is postponing its opening day until Feb. 21. The delay comes as a result of an incoming cold snap that predicts a high on Sunday of 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Some vendors also pulled out from the upcoming market due to the cold weather.

While we like to think of ourselves as diehard marketers and are usually open rain or shine, we just felt it was the right decision to postpone to the 21st and hope for better weather,” Casey Cutler says.

When it opens, the farmers market on 6434 E. Mockingbird Ln. will be open Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Aug. 15. Good Local Markets has a Facebook page and an Instagram account where it posts the latest updates.
