Who says a Thursday night can’t be exciting? Come out for the 5th annual Hearts on the Trinity and sample local restaurants and distilleries,  try out a 6,000 ft slide, photo booths, climbing sculptures (whatever those are), and enjoy live music.

November 8: Half Price Books Signing

Dallas Morning News sports-writing staffer Marjorie Herrera Lewis debuts her bookWhen the Men Were Gone, about the first female high school football coach in Texas in 1944.

November 9: Rocky Horror

Amber Does Dallas, a theatrical production company that shadowcasts Rocky Horror Picture Show, celebrates their 9th anniversary with a special show at the Angelika. The cast is forgoing their usual parts and drawing parts from a hat! You can purchase a prop package to join in the fun.

November 10: Beer Brunch

Enjoy a three-course brunch with beer pairings at Sundown at Granada. The restaurant is teaming up with Oak Highlands Brewery to offer some great seasonal brews. Guests also get their own OHB pint glass.

November 10 & 11: Lakewood Home Festival

It’s one of the neighborhood’s favorite events of the year and it’s finally here. We gave you a sneak peek in our November Issue, now you can get the full picture.  Neighbors can catch a daytime tour, or pay $10 extra for a candlelight tour on Saturday night.

November 11: Chili Cookoff

Come out to the Truck Yard for the 4th annual chili cook-off benefitting Local 58. Four groups of firefighters are competing for victory. Your $25 ticket gets you samples of all four chilis and two beers.
