European Wax Center plans to open a location near Lakewood Shopping Center.
Work is ongoing at the store, the old T-Mobile on Gaston Avenue next to Sa Sa Sushi.
No opening date has been set for the Lakewood location, European Wax Center tells the Advocate. But updates will be posted on the “locations” page of the company’s website.
There are several existing Dallas locations for the chain, which started in Florida as a family owned business in 2004. It offers waxing services for men and women. In East Dallas, European Wax Center is open at Old Town on Greenville Avenue and at Casa Linda Plaza.
European Wax Center opened its first franchise location in 2008, and by 2015, 500 locations had been opened. In 2019, the company established its worldwide headquarters in Plano.
Another hair removal place, Semper Laser Hair Removal, opened its first Dallas location at Lakewood Shopping Center last year.
