The restaurant owner who opened Birdie’s Eastside on Mockingbird is planning to put a Tex-Mex concept on Greenville Avenue next year.
Escondído, the first of which is at Preston Road and Royal Lane, will debut in East Dallas at 3519 Greenville Ave. in place of The Blue Fish, according to The Dallas Morning News. The menu, including noteworthy fajitas and multiple margaritas, and design is expected to be similar to its North Dallas counterpart.
The Blue Fish had been open since 1998 and closed in January.
Owner Jon Alexis, whose company is also behind TJ’s Seafood Market and Ramble Room, picked this location to open the second Escondído because of (at least, in part) its ample parking lot, according to The Dallas Morning News article.
