Rumbley wrote numerous books on Dallas History, and played a role in the 1973 con-artist movie “Paper Moon.” Dallas Morning News columnist Dave Lieber calls her the best storyteller in Dallas. She appears hundreds of times per year for book clubs, church groups colleges and more, weaving tales of Dallas history into the topic of the day.
