The East Dallas Games pits residents from Munger Place, Peaks Addition, Junius Heights and Swiss Avenue against each other in a friendly backyard contests to win charity donations for local organizations.

In years past, the games have included Jenga, corn hole, spoon relays, water balloon tosses three-legged and sack races and a tug of war. Around them, family friendly activities, live music and food trucks offer fun for those not participating.

Munger Place, 2023’s champions, chose Lipscomb Elementary, JL Long, Woodrow Wilson and the East Dallas Boys and Girls Club to be the recipients of 2024’s prize money from various sponsors, including 2024’s title sponsor, Jimmy’s Food Store.

The 3rd annual East Dallas Games will be held on October 19 at Buckner Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
