  • NBCDFW had a story on Tuesday about “the U.S. Attorney’s Office celebrating the dismantling of a ‘drug-dealing enterprise'” in East Dallas, involving prescription painkillers. Check it out here.
  • The Dallas Morning News had a write-up about the White Rock Local Market and founder Sarah Perry. Read more.
  • The DMN also had a story about the longevity of Lucky Dog Books in East Dallas. Check it out.
  • Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation along with State Rep. Eric Johnson has created a financial assistance program aimed at students in District 100 who demonstrate strong college potential, to help pay for SAT or ACT costs, says the DMN. Read more.
  • Extra: OK, so this has nothing to do with East Dallas, but it popped up in my Google alert and it’s kind of awesome. The first part is that Oprah Winfrey visited Bishop T.D. Jakes at the Potter’s House, but the really awesome part is that while she was here she said Dallas is better than Houston, and then the peeps at the Houston Chron got their feelers all hurt about it in a blog.
