The restaurant, which opened in East Dallas in 2015, posted a statement on its Facebook page July 1 announcing the closure.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share we have decided to close our Casa Linda location. We want to thank each and everyone for your loyal support these past seven years,” according to the note.

The store in Preston Hollow Village, which was the restaurant’s second location, is still open.

Dugg Burger is unique in its burger customization. They scoop out part of the top bun to make room for toppings, and they use the “dug” out part to make bread pudding.

A piece of paper dated July 14 was posted to the window at Dugg Burger by Edens, which leases the historic shopping center, and it says the tenant’s rent was past due and that the lock to the door had been changed.

Another burger joint, Rodeo Goat, just opened at the shopping center.

Dugg Burger was located at 9540 Garland Road.
